About
Riley Irvine Headshot 2
I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.

Oscar Wilde

Hi, I'm Riley.

I grew up in a little town called Corvallis, Oregon, where I fell in love with musical theater through the local community theater scene, and eventually made my professional theater debut right after my 18th birthday.

In 2024, I graduated with a BFA in Musical Theater from the University of the Arts. While at UArts, I had the incredible privilege of learning from Broadway veterans, performing in groundbreaking new plays and musicals, and studying Shakespeare abroad at the Globe Theatre in London. I also discovered my passion for vocal pedagogy and music theory, leading me to minor in music.

I discovered my love for teaching while interning at Spotlight Musical Theatre Academy in Oregon during my summers home from college. I believe music and theater have a unique ability to inspire empathy, understanding, and confidence, and my goal is to nurture these qualities in my students while providing them the tools they need to exceed their own goals as young artists and humans.

I currently teach Musical Theater and Singing classes at the Community Academy of Philadelphia, and I am accepting new private students for acting and voice coaching. Contact me for rates and availability!

I love working on all kinds of theater, from new works by emerging playwrights to classic golden age musicals, but the works of Sondheim and Shakespeare are my absolute favorite to perform.

In my free time, I love traveling, making latte art, and playing video games with my little brother.
